I am a UNB student in my third year of honours in history with a minor in film theory. My GPA has consistently been between 3.7 and 4.0.
Experience
During my senior year of high school I tutored in ninth grade math. the following summer I worked at a library where I helped struggling elementary students with reading. Unofficially, I helped my younger sister study for a variety of tests, mostly science based. I want to be a tutor because I enjoy teaching others to do things that I know how to do, be it making friendship bracelets or, in this case, studying or writing an A paper.

Hobbies
I'll risk sounding lazy for the sake of honesty, but my favourite pass time in the winter is watching movies. I know that doesn't sound like a good hobby for a tutor but I enjoy a good story that I can think critically about later, asking myself what I would do if I found myself in a similar situation, what made the movie good or bad, how the shots contributed to the movie and other dorky things like that. My summer hobby is definitely much more tutor-worthy: reading any kind of book. I only read in the summer because I read outside. Aside from those minor oddities, I would call my other hobbies pretty normal: spending time with friends and/or family, going for walks, cooking, drawing, listening to music...things like that.
